Achievements

When Apple introduced the iPad I was involved in the design and development of the first app for ABC News. It featured a novel and innovative way to navigate content using a three dimentional sphere. I was honored by Disney for US Patent 20120174038, filed Jul 5, 2012.
While exploring novel ways to leverage IoT concepts, I came up with the idea of enabling a passive, pre-attentive content experience on idle television monitors. The idea was supported by the CTO of Disney/ABC and I filed as the sole contributor for the patent. US Patent 10250918B2 was granted and issued on April 2, 2019.
While working on supporting the digital counterpart to the documentary Target: Bin Laden - The Death and Life of Public Enemy Number One. I recieved a Producer credit and was nominated for a News & Documentary Emmy.
As part of ABC News’ overall excellence and achievement in broadcast and digital journalism I was honored with this award twice.
I am a former and current state record holder in the Javelin Throw and competed at high school and collegiate national championships four times.
