Disney Inventor Award Recipient, 2012

When Apple introduced the iPad I was involved in the design and development of the first app for ABC News. It featured a novel and innovative way to navigate content using a three dimentional sphere. I was honored by Disney for US Patent 20120174038, filed Jul 5, 2012.

Disney Inventor Award Recipient, 2016

While exploring novel ways to leverage IoT concepts, I came up with the idea of enabling a passive, pre-attentive content experience on idle television monitors. The idea was supported by the CTO of Disney/ABC and I filed as the sole contributor for the patent. US Patent 10250918B2 was granted and issued on April 2, 2019.

Emmy Nominee, News & Documentary — 2010

While working on supporting the digital counterpart to the documentary Target: Bin Laden - The Death and Life of Public Enemy Number One. I recieved a Producer credit and was nominated for a News & Documentary Emmy.

Edward R. Murrow Award — 2014 and 2018

As part of ABC News’ overall excellence and achievement in broadcast and digital journalism I was honored with this award twice.

NCAA All-American in Track & Field — 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992

I am a former and current state record holder in the Javelin Throw and competed at high school and collegiate national championships four times.
